The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has revealed that the current location of notorious bandit leader Bello Turji remains unknown following a recent airstrike in Zamfara State.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa, confirmed that several of Turji’s allies and top commanders were killed during the operation.

The airstrikes, carried out in collaboration with ground troops, inflicted significant casualties on the bandit network.

“Scores of bandits were neutralized, while many others, including key commanders, sustained serious injuries,” the statement noted. “Kachallah Turji’s whereabouts remain unknown, adding further strain to his collapsing network.”

The operation, codenamed Fansan Yamma, was described as a coordinated air-ground assault aimed at restoring peace and security in the North-West region. It was executed with precision, utilizing real-time intelligence from a surveillance and reconnaissance platform to ensure accurate targeting.

The NAF emphasized its commitment to continuing such operations to disrupt bandit activities and stabilize the region.
