Pa Kayode Idowu Esuleke, a highly respected traditionalist and Chief Priest in Osogbo, Osun State, has died.
Reports confirm that Pa Esuleke passed away on the evening of Saturday, January 25, 2025.
In a condolence message, Chief Oladebo Akeem Abiodun, Chairman of the Osun State Traditional Medicine Board, expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing it as a significant blow to the traditionalist community.
Reflecting on Pa Esuleke’s legacy, Chief Oladebo highlighted his achievements during his tenure as Chairman of the Traditional Medicine Board from 2016 to 2019.
“His leadership and dedication greatly advanced the preservation of Yoruba traditions,” Oladebo stated, adding that even after stepping down, Pa Esuleke continued to provide invaluable guidance to the board.
“His contributions will forever remain etched in the history of traditional medicine in Osun State,” he added.
Family members and associates have also paid tribute, describing Pa Esuleke as a steadfast advocate of cultural preservation whose dedication will be remembered for generations.
In a statement, the Traditional Medicine Board extended heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the wider traditionalist community.
