Hon. Rofiat Iyabo Ajibade, Councillor for Ojomu South East Ward and Deputy Majority Leader of the Offa Local Government Council, has commenced the rehabilitation of boreholes and the construction of new ones in her constituency in a bid to address water scarcity.

 

Hon. Ajibade stated that this initiative aligns with the vision and efforts of the Alhaji Sulaiman Olatunji Laaro-led administration to improve water supply across Offa Local Government.

 

She emphasized that access to clean water remains a priority for the council.

 

“As part of our chairman, Alhaji Sulaiman Olatunji Laaro we are working to restore water facilities across Offa. The borehole at Station Road has already been resuscitated, and work will commence next at Alagbede Compound, with plans to extend to other locations,” she disclosed.

 

The ongoing water project is expected to alleviate water challenges faced by residents, ensuring a sustainable supply of clean water for households and businesses within the ward.

 

Residents have lauded the initiative, expressing appreciation for the councillor’s efforts in enhancing access to potable water.

 

The rehabilitation and construction projects will continue in phases, targeting strategic locations across the constituency.
