The Kwara State House of Assembly witnessed a significant legislative event today as Hon. Abdulwaheed Gbenga Yussuf, Chairman of the House Committee on Works and Transport, chaired the presentation of the 2025 Ministerial Budget Defense for the Ministry of Works and Transport.

Reflecting on the successes of the 2024 budget, Hon. Yussuf, who is Kwara State House of Assembly member representing Eesa/Shawo/Igboidun Constituency described it as a pivotal financial plan that introduced several innovative projects and ideas, which have positively impacted the lives of residents across Kwara State.

“The 2024 budget was indeed a good one for the state, with several innovations and ideas introduced, which have positively impacted the lives of Kwarans in no small measure,” Hon. Yussuf stated during the session.

He emphasized that the proposed 2025 budget reaffirms the critical role of the works and transport sector in the administration of His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. The budget outlines numerous projects designed to enhance the state’s infrastructure and improve the quality of life for its residents.

“This administration remains committed to improving infrastructure across Kwara State,” Hon. Yussuf added, highlighting the government’s dedication to fostering development through strategic investments in the works and transport sectors.

The defense session provided an opportunity for in-depth discussions on the proposed projects, aligning them with the administration’s vision of sustainable growth and development for Kwara State.

The session concluded with optimism for the successful execution of the 2025 budget, ensuring the continued progress of the state under the leadership of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
