Omoyele Sowore, the 2023 Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has revealed that he prefers consulting herbalists over search engines like Google when seeking information.
Sowore made this statement during a recent episode of The Curiosity Made Me Ask show, hosted by content creator Bae U Barbie.
During the conversation, Bae U raised a concern:
“Do you think it’s fair to lead protests with people who don’t have dual citizenship like you do—people who can’t flee to another country if things go wrong, unlike you?”
Sowore responded:
“Dual citizenship means being a citizen of another country in addition to Nigeria. You need to improve your research on your guests, just as I need better campaign managers. Let me clarify—I don’t have dual citizenship. I’m Nigerian by birth, and that’s the only passport I hold. You didn’t do your research.”
Bae U countered, saying, “I actually know you have only Nigerian citizenship, but many people don’t. Google says you have dual citizenship.”
In response, Sowore remarked:
“Why rely on Google? Even I don’t use Google. For serious matters, I consult herbalists. You saw me in court in Abuja with a herbalist. Let’s return to our culture. What people now call Google is what the Yorubas call Orunmila. It provides better insights than Google ever could.”
