The Offa Students Union (OSU) National Headquarters has announced a firm prohibition against members writing or submitting petitions against the union without adhering to established grievance resolution procedures.
In a statement issued by the union’s leadership, it was highlighted that certain members have bypassed appropriate channels to air their grievances, a practice deemed detrimental to the unity and progress of the organization.
To address this concern, the union has mandated that all complaints or concerns must be reported directly to the relevant executives or through the union’s established conflict resolution mechanisms.
The directive further stated that any member found violating this policy would face strict disciplinary actions, which could include suspension of privileges or other appropriate sanctions.
The leadership emphasized the importance of fostering mutual respect, dialogue, and collaboration among members to ensure the smooth functioning and growth of the union.
The statement, jointly signed by Comrade Mustapha Taiye Abdulbasit, OSU NHQ President; Comrade Nurudeen Fathiat Damilola, OSU NHQ General Secretary; and Comrade Abbas Toheeb Olasunkanmi, OSU NHQ Public Relations Officer, urged all members to cooperate in upholding the union’s integrity and strengthening its commitment to unity and progress.
The OSU leadership called on members to work together in building a harmonious environment for the benefit of all.
