A man identified as Ukazu has been apprehended by Otampa Security Services, a local security outfit in Akoba Otamkpa, Isiukwuato LGA of Abia State, for allegedly stealing a woman’s mobile phone.
According to a statement released by the security group, Ukazu was publicly paraded through the community following his arrest. Unable to pay the N100,000 restitution demanded by the community, he offered a sheep, a goat, a mobile phone, and two plastic chairs as compensation.
The security outfit granted him a one-month deadline to settle the financial obligation. If he fails to do so, the pledged items will be permanently forfeited.
Meanwhile, the stolen phone has been recovered and returned to its rightful owner, highlighting the swift intervention of the community security team.
