A man identified as Thomas has been reported missing after falling into the river at Pessu Waterside in Pessu Market, Warri, Delta State.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred around 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 30. Thomas was allegedly under the influence of substances suspected to be hard drugs, which left him intoxicated and led him into the river.
Despite efforts by speedboat riders and traders to rescue him, he could not be located. As of Friday, his body has yet to be found.
