A middle-aged man, whose identity remains unknown, tragically took his own life early Friday morning in the Enyenkorin area of Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.
Reports indicate that the individual hung himself from a tree along the Ilorin-Eyenkorin highway.
An eyewitness, Alhaji Waheed, shared that a small note was discovered beneath the tree, containing the phone numbers of the man’s wife and brother, who resides in Gombe State.
Authorities from the Budo Nuhu Division of the Kwara State Police Command promptly arrived at the scene and have transported the body to the mortuary at the General Hospital in Ilorin.
Attempts to contact the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ejire Adeyemi Toun, for further information on the incident were unsuccessful.
