Offa Descendants Union
The Offa Descendants Union (ODU), led by Alhaji Muhydeen Olaniyi Azeez-Salako, is aware of the ongoing land disputes involving some members of our community and those from the neighbouring community. We recognize that these disputes may understandably cause anxiety and unrest among communities that have coexisted peacefully for centuries.
The ODU wants to assure all parties that we are actively working to resolve this matter. We are continuously engaging in dialogue with relevant stakeholders and authorities to advocate for a fair and peaceful resolution. The ODU firmly believes that dialogue, mutual respect, and collaboration are essential for resolving conflicts and achieving lasting solutions.
In light of this situation, we appeal to everyone involved to remain calm, exercise restraint, and engage in constructive discussions. It is imperative to avoid spreading unnecessary remarks or rumours that could heighten tensions. Unity and adherence to established processes are crucial at all times.
To those affected by the current situation, whether directly or indirectly, the union extends its heartfelt sympathies and support. We understand the challenges you face and encourage you to pursue peaceful and lawful means to address these differences rather than resorting to violence or other harmful actions. Land disputes, wherever they occur, require careful consideration and nuanced approaches.
The ODU encourages everyone to promote peace, tolerance, and understanding in our communities. Together, let us strive to create a harmonious and prosperous environment where all individuals can thrive in peace and dignity.
