Israel’s National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, has threatened to resign if the government approves the proposed ceasefire agreement.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to lead a vote on ratifying the deal on Friday morning. Ben-Gvir criticized the agreement, calling it “irresponsible” and “reckless.”

Opposition leader Yair Lapid, however, expressed support for Netanyahu, stating that the ceasefire deal was “more important than any disagreement we’ve ever had.”
