Donald Trump Dismisses Four Senior Biden Appointees On First Day Back In Office

In a dramatic return to the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump wasted no time asserting his authority by dismissing four senior officials appointed by his predecessor, Joe Biden.

Using his signature phrase, “You’re fired,” Trump signalled the beginning of sweeping changes under his administration. The announcement was made through his first post on Truth Social since his inauguration as the 47th President of the United States.

In the post, titled “YOU’RE FIRED,” Trump declared, “Our first day in the White House is not over yet! My Presidential Personnel Office is actively identifying and removing over a thousand Presidential Appointees from the previous Administration who are not aligned with our vision to Make America Great Again.”

The four officials named in the post were:

Jose Andres: Member of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition

Mark Milley: Member of the National Infrastructure Advisory Council

Brian Hook: Member of the Wilson Center for Scholars

Keisha Lance Bottoms: Member of the President’s Export Council

Trump’s post served as the official notice of their dismissal.

In addition to personnel changes, the President swiftly began rolling back Biden-era policies. He issued a regulatory freeze to halt the introduction of new regulations and signed an executive order mandating the return of federal employees to full-time, in-office work. Trump also suspended 78 executive orders enacted during Biden’s administration.

During his 29-minute inaugural address, Trump laid out his vision for what he called a “Golden Age” for America, taking aim at the previous administration. He described the Biden presidency as “radical and corrupt” and accused it of mismanaging domestic challenges, including the Los Angeles wildfires.

Trump’s decisive actions hint at significant changes ahead for federal institutions. His administration has signaled plans for further dismissals, possible department closures, and a reduction in civil service roles, aimed at streamlining government operations.
