Anna Beatriz Pereira Alves, a Brazilian adult content creator known online as Anna Polly, has died after reportedly falling from a hotel balcony in Nova Iguaçu, northwest of Rio de Janeiro.
The 28-year-old was found dead in the hotel courtyard under what police have described as “complex” circumstances. Authorities are investigating whether her death was accidental or the result of a crime.
According to investigators, Anna had invited two men to the hotel to film content for an adult platform. However, their statements regarding the events leading up to her fatal fall have been inconsistent.
The Baixada Fluminense Homicide Unit, which is handling the case, is reviewing hotel CCTV footage and has questioned staff.
“We are conducting a thorough investigation to determine what happened. It’s a complex case, and we are considering all possibilities, from an accident to a possible crime,” a homicide unit spokesperson stated.
Investigators are also analyzing Anna’s mobile phone for relevant messages or calls. A post-mortem examination has been conducted, though results have not yet been released. It remains unclear whether toxicology tests detected drugs or signs of sexual violence.
