The Bauchi State Government has earmarked N400 million in its 2025 budget to procure six computers for the office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
Additionally, the government has allocated N1 billion for purchasing land for office and building construction and N170 million for a generator to power the SSG’s office.
Public affairs analyst Ibrahim Musa criticized the allocations, calling them “misplaced priorities” amid the economic hardships facing Nigerians.
He expressed concern over what he described as wasteful spending, noting that such funds could be used for more impactful projects like building primary healthcare facilities.
Musa urged the state government to prioritize citizen-centric projects and avoid unnecessary expenditures, highlighting the need for prudent financial management.
