In a significant development within the political landscape of Kwara State, Hon. Samuel Audu Fedundangi, the 2023 People’s Democratic Party (PDP) House of Assembly candidate for Edu State Constituency, has officially resigned from the party.
Fedundangi announced his decision in a formal resignation letter addressed to the ward chairman of the PDP in Tsaragi Ward III, Edu Local Government Area, dated January 2, 2025.
In the letter, Fedundangi expressed his appreciation for the opportunities and experiences gained during his time with the PDP, describing his membership as a “significant chapter” of his life. He credited the party for shaping his understanding of politics and fostering lasting friendships.
However, he emphasized that his resignation was not driven by dissatisfaction with the party but by a desire to pursue a political path that aligns more closely with his personal convictions and aspirations for his community.
“I remain committed to the principles of democracy, justice, and the well-being of the people, which have always guided my political endeavors,” he wrote.
Fedundangi expressed gratitude to the party leadership, colleagues, and supporters for their trust and support during his time in the PDP. He also pledged to maintain a respectful and collaborative relationship as he embarks on his new political journey.
