The Osun Amotekun Corps has announced plans to recruit 1,000 additional personnel as part of efforts to strengthen security across the state. This recruitment aligns with directives from Governor Ademola Adeleke.
According to a joint statement by the Osun Amotekun Board Chairman, AIG Wale Abass (rtd), and Corps Commander, CSP Isaac Omoyele (rtd), the recruitment is part of a restructuring initiative to bolster the state’s security framework.
This marks the second phase of recruitment since the corps was established in 2020. The aim is to enhance the operational capacity of the outfit and support other security agencies.
