President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has affirmed that Nigeria is progressing, despite the skepticism surrounding his economic strategies.
During his inaugural media session broadcast from Lagos on Monday, Tinubu emphasized that the nation is on a trajectory of recovery, even in the face of current economic challenges.
In relation to the proposed N49.7 trillion budget for 2025, he described it as a “restoration of hope” and called for understanding and collaboration from the Nigerian populace in light of ongoing economic difficulties.
“Nigeria is moving forward, no matter the criticism,” he stated. “This budget signifies a restoration of hope, and we are on the road to recovery. It’s important to recognize that we cannot accomplish everything within a single year,” he asserted.
Earlier, Tinubu expressed no regrets about abolishing the fuel subsidy in May 2023.
