A 16-year-old boy was arrested on Sunday in New Mexico for allegedly killing four members of his family in a tragic incident.
According to a statement by the New Mexico State Police, the Valencia County Sheriff’s Office received an early morning 911 call on Saturday from the teen, who admitted to killing his family.
When deputies arrived at the home in Belen, the boy exited the residence with his hands raised and appeared to be heavily intoxicated.
Inside the house, authorities discovered the bodies of Leonardo Leyva, 42, Adriana Bencomo, 35, Adrian Leyva, 16, and Alexander Leyva, 14.
All four victims had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. A handgun was found on the kitchen table, according to the police statement.
