South Korean lawmakers have impeached Acting President Han Duck-soo, the National Assembly Speaker, Woo Won-shik, announced on Friday.
The decision comes after allegations that Han actively participated in an insurrection following the declaration of martial law by his predecessor earlier this month.
“The impeachment motion against Prime Minister Han Duck-soo has passed. Out of 192 lawmakers who voted, all 192 supported the motion,” Woo Won-shik stated.
