Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has officially inaugurated the Babafemi Dada bridge along with the Yinka Folarin, Jamiu Lawal, and Shalom Academy road networks in the Alimosho Local Government Area.

In a message shared on his X account, Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that this new infrastructure will greatly enhance connectivity and foster sustainable development in the region. “This project is a testament to our administration’s commitment to promoting sustainable growth through modern infrastructure,” he stated.

The governor detailed that the initiative encompasses a newly built bridge and a network of four roads, all equipped with solar-powered streetlights to improve safety and visibility. He noted that the upgrades are designed to create safer and more accessible pathways for residents of the Igando-Ayobo community and neighboring areas.

Sanwo-Olu further asserted that the new road network and bridge will substantially enhance the quality of life for locals by shortening commute times and lowering transportation costs. “The bridge and road network will enhance residents’ quality of life and boost productivity by reducing travel times and expenses,” he remarked.

The governor also highlighted the wider economic implications of the project, which aims to invigorate local economies and lay the groundwork for sustainable growth. “This infrastructure aligns with our overarching vision of energizing local economies and establishing a foundation for long-term development,” he explained.

Additionally, Governor Sanwo-Olu urged community engagement, encouraging residents to take ownership of the project and ensure its ongoing maintenance. “Every Lagos resident is a partner in our journey to build the state, and we value your feedback and collaboration on this and other initiatives,” he concluded.
