Queen Dami, the estranged partner of Nigerian musician Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has responded to his accusations with serious allegations of her own.
The dispute began after Portable accused Dami of being involved in the death of the late Alaafin of Oyo and engaging in relationships with other men while she was still with the monarch. This followed Portable’s disapproval of Dami participating in a late-night TikTok session.
In her rebuttal, Dami accused Portable of physical abuse, emotional manipulation, and public humiliation during their time together.
She also addressed his claim that she didn’t conceive a child for him, questioning why she would choose to do so given his troubled history with other women.
Dami criticized the substandard living conditions he provided and highlighted the disparities in how he treated her compared to his other partners. She alleged that Portable threatened her with ritualistic harm, frequently assaulted her, and publicly humiliated her during a live session where she was promoting her business.
Recounting a harrowing experience, she revealed she once lost consciousness due to his assault and had to lie to her mother about the incident.
Dami also denied Portable’s accusation regarding misconduct with the late Alaafin of Oyo, clarifying that she had left the palace before his death.
In a scathing statement, she said:
“Useless man, you said I didn’t get pregnant for you. Why would I? Who would want to have a child for a man with multiple baby mamas? What kind of house did you rent for me? Is that what your mates provide for their wives?
“You came to my DM begging me to date you, and now you threaten me with rituals and beat me every time. I was advertising my products during a live video, and you came to embarrass me. Why are you calling me your wife? Have you even paid my dowry?
“I have scars all over my body from your beatings. Your wife drives nice cars, but I have nothing. One day, you beat me so badly I passed out. I had to lie to my mother about what happened.
“Why would I get pregnant for you? I’m not mad. I didn’t kill the Alaafin—I had already left the palace before his death. No man has been with me since I started a relationship with you. God will judge between us.”
Queen Dami ended her statement by calling for divine justice, claiming that Portable’s actions will ultimately bring him down.
