
Hon. Abdulwaheed Gbenga Yusuf JK, the Member of the Kwara State House of Assembly representing Eesa/Shawo/Igboidun Constituency, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Ilorin Royal Family, and the entire people of Kwara State over the demise of the Chief of Staff, Prince Abdulkadir Mahe.
In a statement released today, Hon. Yusuf described the passing of Prince Abdulkadir Mahe as a profound loss, not only to the government but to the entire state.
He extolled the late Chief of Staff as a distinguished public servant, a man of impeccable character, and a pillar of the Ilorin Emirate who contributed immensely to the progress and development of Kwara State.
Prince Abdulkadir Mahe passed away on the morning of December 28, 2024, as ordained by Allah. His burial rites were performed today at his residence on Moro Street, Adewole Estate, Ilorin, following the Asr prayer, in accordance with Islamic rites.
Hon. Yusuf prayed for Allaah to forgive the shortcomings of the late Chief of Staff, grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus, and provide strength and solace to his immediate family, the Governor, the Emir, and the entire state in this period of mourning.
“The passing of Prince Mahe is a reminder of the transient nature of life. I join the people of Eesa/Shawo/Igboidun Constituency and the entire state in mourning this irreplaceable loss. May Allaah ease his accounts and make his grave a place of light and mercy.
“This loss leaves an indelible mark on Kwara State, but Prince Mahe’s legacy of service, humility, and dedication will continue to inspire generations,” he said.
