The Jimoh Kolawole Yussuf (JKY) Foundation successfully concluded the first batch of its second phase tech empowerment programme on December 13, 2024, at the One Innovation Hub (ONEIH) in Offa, Kwara State.
The first batch of the programme, which began on Monday, December 9, 2024, aimed to equip students with essential digital literacy skills.
The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including Mrs. Ayantola N.O, Principal of AUD College Offa; Mr. Salami N.A, Principal of Iyeru Grammar School; Mr. Ibrahim M.O, Principal of Olalomi Comprehensive College; and Mrs. Lawal Oluwatoyin Faridah, representing Mr. F.T. Salami, Principal of Offa Grammar School.
During the closing ceremony, students demonstrated the skills they acquired throughout the week to their principals.
Mrs. Ayantola N.O, Principal of AUD College Offa, expressed her gratitude to the JKY Foundation for providing students with the opportunity to enhance their digital literacy skills. She also commended One Innovation Hub for establishing a modern tech hub in Offa.
She remarked, “This is my first time visiting this hub, and I am impressed by its scale and impact. Many of my students have been here to learn digital literacy, and I deeply appreciate the foundation for creating this opportunity. I also commend Halimat Foundation for its continuous support in empowering students.”
One of the participants, Muritala Hammed from Moremi High School, shared his appreciation, saying, “I am grateful to the JKY Foundation for giving me the chance to learn digital literacy at the One Innovation Hub. It has been an invaluable experience.”
The JKY Foundation’s tech empowerment programme continues to make strides in fostering digital skills among students in Offa, contributing to the broader vision of technological advancement in the region.
