Embattled human rights activist, Dele Farotimi, has declared his readiness to face his ongoing legal battle, expressing unwavering resolve to confront those he accuses of injustice.
On Sunday, Farotimi took to social media platform X to share his defiant stance, metaphorically likening his preparation to a warrior arming for battle.
“I am strong enough to rumble unruffled against principalities and powers, but I am human enough to shed tears of joy in appreciation of God’s grace, expressed through the support of fellow victims,” he wrote.
Farotimi added, “My battle axes are newly sharpened, my guns primed—I am ready for war. My resolve was NEVER tested, but I awaited the next round of the fight. I KNEW the first round had been lost by those responsible for my imprisonment.”
Farotimi’s declaration follows his recent legal troubles. A few weeks ago, a Chief Magistrate Court in Ado Ekiti granted him bail of N30 million after his arrest for allegedly defaming Afe Babalola, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti (ABUAD).
