Yunus Oyetunde, popularly known as Coy Emerald, a renowned ethical hacker and cybersecurity expert, has reiterated his commitment to the advocacy of ethical hacking under the campaign #HackersNotThieves.

This comes in the wake of allegations surrounding a hacking incident reported by social media commentator Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM) who later said it’s not true.

Coy Emerald emphasizes that ethical hackers are problem solvers, not criminals. His campaign, #HackersNotThieves, seeks to distinguish ethical hacking—a profession aimed at securing digital platforms—from malicious hacking activities.

Coy Emerald, a Kwara-born tech innovator, is celebrated for his groundbreaking contributions to cybersecurity.

Recently, he became the only Nigerian named on Apple’s prestigious 2024 list of security researchers, a recognition that underscores his expertise in ethical hacking and online safety.

His work has also earned accolades from global tech giants like Google, Microsoft, Branch, and DROOM.

In addition to his global recognition, Oyetunde has founded the O-range Ethical Hacking Class, where he trains individuals and organizations in ethical hacking practices.

He was also commended by the Nigerian Police for leveraging his cybersecurity skills to promote public safety.
