
A fire outbreak has gutted the office of the Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Oshodi (FIIRO), located near Cappa Bus Stop in Lagos.
The fire reportedly began around midnight on Wednesday, Christmas Day, and continued to rage into the early hours of Thursday, Boxing Day.
Rescue efforts by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, in collaboration with the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), are ongoing as of 5 a.m.
While no casualties have been reported, the fire has caused extensive damage, destroying property valued at millions of naira. Emergency responders are working tirelessly to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby offices and buildings.
