Finnish authorities have taken action by freezing the assets of Simon Ekpa, the self-styled Biafran activist. Ekpa is currently facing serious allegations related to terrorism and has been in detention for several weeks.
According to Sahara Reporters, the Finnish government has also frozen the assets of companies linked to Ekpa, as well as those of four of his associates, all of whom are in custody.
A local newspaper, Yle, confirmed this information and added that Ekpa is being held at Kylmäkoski Vankila (Kylmäkoski Prison), a facility known for being one of the most stringent prisons in the world.
Kylmäkoski Prison, a high-security establishment, is situated in Vanhamaantie, Akaa, Finland. Given the current stance of Finnish authorities, it appears that Ekpa will likely remain in detention throughout the Christmas and New Year holidays.
