The Offa Engineers held its highly anticipated Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at the ODU Small Hall in Offa, Kwara State.
The event, which marked a significant milestone for the association, was declared open by the Life Matron of Offa Engineers and Chairperson of the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service, Engr. Chief Mrs. Shade Omoniyi.
In her opening address, Engr. Omoniyi commended the outgoing Executive Committee for their dedication and urged members to remain united in their mission to contribute meaningfully to the development of Offa and the engineering profession.
As part of the AGM’s agenda, the Electoral Committee conducted a transparent election in accordance with the association’s constitution, culminating in the emergence of new leaders for the next term.
The newly elected executives are:

4. Engr. Abdulmajeed B. Olahan – General Secretary
5. Engr. Orilonise A. O. – Assistant General Secretary I
6. Engr. Azeez M. A. – Assistant General Secretary II
7. Engr. Tijani I. A. – Auditor
8. Engr. Gbenga Daniel Oyeladun – Social Director
9. Engr. Amototo I. O. – Treasurer
10. Engr. Bammeke Mujidat S. – Financial Secretary
11. Engr. Muhammed Kabeer O. – Public Relations Officer
The new President, Engr. Maruf Olalekan Ajenifuja, FNIAE, expressed profound gratitude on behalf of the newly elected executive team to the Life Patron, Engr. Prof. S. O. Adeyemi, Vice Patron, Engr. Jaiyeola A. Akinola, Life Matron, Engr. Chief Mrs. Shade Omoniyi, Vice Matron, Engr. Prof. Nazmat Surajudeen-Bakinde, and the outgoing President, Engr. Abdulfatai Yusuf, for their invaluable contributions to the growth and success of the association.
In his acceptance speech, Engr. Ajenifuja pledged to build on the achievements of his predecessors. “Our administration is prepared to hit the ground running, consolidate on past achievements, and rise to meet the challenges of our time,” he assured.
The meeting also featured goodwill messages from distinguished guests, including the ODU Global President, Alh. Muideen Olaniyi Azeez-Salako, and the President of Club 80, Offa, Engr. Tosho Alabi. Both leaders congratulated the new executive members while emphasizing the need for sacrifice and dedication to fulfill the association’s objectives.
The AGM ended on a high note, with members expressing optimism about the future under the leadership of Engr. Ajenifuja and his team.
Offa Engineers, through its newly elected executives, has reaffirmed its commitment to professional excellence, community development, and the promotion of engineering as a tool for societal advancement.
