The grand finale of the prestigious Dr. Maryam Jummai Yasin Annual Volleyball Championship is scheduled to take place on December 29, 2024, at the Offa Grammar School Volleyball Court in Offa, Kwara State.
The championship, which has become a highly anticipated event in Nigeria’s volleyball calendar, will feature prominent volleyball clubs.
According to Coach Suleiman Olayinka Ajeigbe, popularly known as Coach Soba, the Head Coach of Offa Volleyball Club and the Chief Organizer of the tournament, several teams have already confirmed their participation.
“The confirmed teams include: Olalomi Royal Volleyball Club (Male & Female), Oluyole Volleyball Club (Male & Female) from Ibadan, Ikotun Ile Volleyball Club (Male & Female) from Ikotun, Ajashe Ipo Volleyball Club from Ilorin, Hajia Jumai Yasin Super Angels and Alhaji Najeem Yasin Super Force, Ibadan Warriors from Ogbomosholand, Osun State Volleyball Club from Osogbo and Isin United Volleyball Club.
“More teams are still expected to signify interest.
“The championship promises to be an exciting showcase of talent and sportsmanship, uniting players and fans in the spirit of competition,” he concluded.
