Olori Modupeola Ogungbangbe, the wife of Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa, on Monday, December 23, 2024 threw a fantastic end-of-year Christmas party at the Palace Hall for more than 400 kids in the community.

His Royal Majesty Oba Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe, along with other royal fathers, high chiefs, and other notable people, attended the event that was organized by the Owaloko-in-council in partnership with Gold 95.5fm, a federal radio station.

While addressing the populace, Oba Ogungbangbe noted that the security, welfare, and education of children in his kingdom are top priority for him.

The king, who voiced concern over the rise in social vices, urged parents and guardians to raise their children properly since badly behaved children endanger society.

According to the monarch, he is determined to keeping hope alive and doing everything possible to improve the security, welfare, and education of his kingdom’s children.

He emphasized that there are plans to expand the ongoing scholarship programs for impoverished children who attend the Iloko Model College to include more beneficiaries because education is the key to freedom and a passport to prosperity.

“We will continue to strategically position ourselves for children’s growth and development. “We will always set new standards for the benefit of our children and society,” he continued.

He wished the children and guests a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year, praying that they would surpass their parents.

In her remarks, the king’s visibly delighted wife, Olori Modupeola, expressed her delight at the end of the year’s Christmas party, thanking her husband and Gold 95.5fm for assisting her in setting up a Christmas party for Iloko-Ijesa children.

Olori Modupe, who portrayed Christmas as a time of love, urged mothers to take good care of their children, particularly females, because they are more susceptible.

She encouraged children to be good students, obedient and respect their instructors and parents.

She advised the children to focus on their studies and have excellent company.

She also advised children to believe in their abilities, since there was always a reward for good behavior.

Every child who attended the year-end Christmas party received gifts, prizes and danced.
