In celebration of the 20th annual Guinness World Records Day, Rumeysa Gelgi, the world’s tallest living woman, and Jyoti Amge, the shortest living woman (mobile), met for the first time at the Savoy Hotel in London.
During their meeting, the two record-holders shared afternoon tea and were presented with special Icon certificates by Guinness World Records. A video shared on Friday, November 22, captured this extraordinary moment.
Rumeysa, a researcher from Turkey, stands at an impressive 215.16 cm (7 ft 0.7 in), while Jyoti, an actor from India, measures just 62.8 cm (2 ft 0.7 in).
Their heartwarming encounter not only highlights their unique stories but also celebrates diversity and individuality.
Rumeysa has held the title of the tallest living woman, while Jyoti has proudly maintained her record as the shortest living woman for over a decade. Their meeting serves as a memorable milestone in Guinness World Records’ mission to honor remarkable people worldwide.
