Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced a fresh military aid package from the United States valued at $275 million, marking the 70th defense package Ukraine has received since the war with Russia began.
Taking to his verified social media platform, President Zelenskyy detailed the components of the new support package, which includes drones, ammunition for HIMARS and artillery, and essential mines designed to thwart Russian offensives.
“This package significantly bolsters our forces on the front lines. The United States’ commitment is deeply appreciated, and we value the bipartisan support and decision of President Biden. Ukraine remains grateful for America’s steadfast partnership,” Zelenskyy stated.
He also highlighted the importance of strengthening Ukraine’s air defenses amidst continued Russian aggression. “On the 1,001st day of this full-scale war, Russia remains as relentless as ever, but we persist in building our defenses against these cruel and indiscriminate attacks,” he added.
As Ukraine continues to resist Russian advances, Zelenskyy urged citizens to heed air raid alerts and remain vigilant against the ongoing threats posed by their neighbor.
