President Bola Tinubu has humorously remarked that he brought “sunshine from Nigeria” during his visit to France.
The comment came as Tinubu posed for pictures alongside French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife. When an onlooker inquired if he was feeling cold, Tinubu responded confidently: “I’m not cold. I brought sunshine from Nigeria.”
Beyond the lighthearted exchange, Tinubu used his visit to advocate for increased French investment in Nigeria. Speaking during a joint press conference with Macron at the Elysee Palace, the Nigerian president assured investors that his administration is fostering a conducive environment for business.
He highlighted efforts to enhance security across the country, stating:
“We’ve been working on stabilizing the security system in Nigeria, and we are making significant progress. We are doing better now in the area of security, and I can assure all investors that Nigeria is open for business.”
Tinubu also called on French experts and investors to contribute to the development of Nigeria’s youth, emphasizing their role in the nation’s economic growth.
