The Offa Students Union National Headquarters (OSU NHQS) is delighted to announce its Annual Day & Award Presentation, a special occasion dedicated to celebrating achievements and honoring outstanding contributors to our programs and community development initiatives.

 

This grand event will take place on December 5, 2024, at ODU Hall, starting at 9:00 AM, and promises to be a memorable gathering for all attendees.

 

The celebration will feature a keynote address on the “Arewa Context,” offering insightful reflections and inspiring our collective commitment to growth.

 

The program will also include the presentation of awards to distinguished individuals whose dedication and service have had a lasting impact on OSU NHQS and the wider community. Attendees will be treated to captivating cultural performances that reflect the vibrancy and unity of our heritage, making the event an unforgettable celebration of excellence, tradition, and progress.

 

Among this year’s honorees is Alhaja Kudirat Ijaya (LARAKUD), recognized as a Life Matron for her exceptional support and leadership. Dr. Amina Ahmed Elimam, Commissioner for Health, will be celebrated as Matron, while Alhaji Dr. Ibraheem Akewusola (Brimo) will receive recognition as a Life Patron.

 

The list of honorees extends to Distinguished Senator Architect Oyelola Yissa Ashiru, who has been named a Life Patron, and Chief Abdullateef Kunle Ajeigbe, the Aare Bobaselu of Offa, recognized as Patron. Special Adviser roles are bestowed upon Sheikh Muhydeen Hussein Salman, the Chief Imam of Offa, and Alhaji Muideen Adebayo Ibrahim (Mai).

 

Chief Bar. Abdulwaheed Ademola Bello will serve as Legal Adviser, alongside Barrister Rasheed Ijaodola, the OSU NHQ Legal Adviser and a former OSU NHQS President. The contributions of former OSU NHQS Presidents, such as Engineer Lawal Kunle Sherif Uplawal and Hon. Hassan Oyeleke, former Offa Local Government Chairman, will also be honored. Mrs. Mujidat Bameke Oladipo, DSA at Lens Poly, and Hon. Seun Oguniyi Adato, Member of the House of Assembly representing Ojumu Balogun Constituency, will be celebrated for their support and dedication to youth and educational development.

 

Dr. Nurudeen Olanipekun, Head of Biological Sciences at FEDPOFA, will be among the honored guests, as well as Chief Lanre Shittu, ODU Home Branch President and Otun Akoni of Offa. Aare Musbau Olalekan Olaniyi, Aare Bobajiro of Offa Land and Offa Youth Council President, will also receive special recognition. The list of honorees further includes Alhaji Muhydeen Olaniyi Salako, ODU National President, and Alhaji Olatunji Suleiman Omi Tuntun, Executive Chairman of Offa Local Government. Hon. Mustapha Olawale Sarafadeen Sharon, Speaker of Offa Local Government, and Hon. Jare Olatundun, former TIC Chairman, will be acknowledged for their continued service.

 

Dr. Alhaja Maryam Jummai Yasin, a member of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), will be honored, alongside Dr. Kadiri Kamarudeen, Rector of FEDPOFA, and Dr. Mrs. Aliyu, Deputy Rector Academic at FEDPOFA. Hon. Nasir Samad A., a former OSU member known for his enduring support, will also be recognized. Mr. Tajudeen Bello, ODU Vice President (Home Branch), and Alhaja Muhibat Dakaka of FCC will be celebrated for their impactful contributions. Mr. Suraj Oyewale Jarus, FCA and CEO of Jarus Homes, and Alhaji Muyideen Okunlola, CEO of MOK Foundation, will be honored for their exceptional efforts in fostering community progress and philanthropy.

 

Additional honorees include Hon. Olalekan Olayonu, CEO of Kinkon Global Resources, Dr. Waheed Balogun of FEDPOFA DSA, and Hon. Hammed Omuiyadun, PA to the Distinguished Senator representing Kwara South. Alhaja Rafat Shittu, the Iya Adini of Offa, and Hon. Lukman A. Salahudeen (Eluku Omoadugbo) will round out the list of distinguished awardees, each celebrated for their invaluable contributions to our community.
