An aspirant for the stool of Oludo of Ido-Osun, Prince Nurudeen Jimoh has accused the chairman of Osun State Transport Management System, Nurudeen Alowonle of being a brain behind an attempt to assassinate him.
Prince Nurudeen Jimoh from Daodu Adegbite Royal family of Ido-Osun is one of the princes who have expressed their intention to mount the stool of Oludo of Ido-Osun, following the death of Oba Adeen Adedapo in July.
The aspiring Oludo Prince described the attack as unfortunate and uncalled for, noting that he has no shady deal with anybody, to have warranted such an unprovoked attack on his office complex at Akede Iyaloja Junction, along Oke Baale/Ilesa Garage Road, Osogbo.
Prince Nurudeen Jimoh explained further that, he and his staff were in the office yesterday’s evening (Sunday, November 17, 2024) when some hoodlums, allegedly led by Nurudeen Alowonle, the OSTMS Chairman, started shooting sporadically with a directive from Alowonle that they should kill him and burn down his office complex.
According to him, it took the intervention of the personnel of the Nigerian Air force from the Oke Baale base and those of the Nigerian Police, to rescue him and his friends and staff from untimely death.
“I’m at my office with my friends and staff members, when they started shooting sporadically, throwing all sorts of weapons at me and my friends, but for the timely intervention of the police and personnel of the Nigerian Air force from their Oke Baale base, I could have been killed by now. I really appreciate the security agents for saving my life and my friends’…”
Prince Nurudeen Alowonle, who conducted Journalists round the damaged office complex, also showed to them his car riddled with bullets; saying he has reported the matter at the Nigerian Police Divisional Headquarters at Oke Baale, and the State Investigation Department at the State Headquarters, Osogbo.
