The Ojoku Descendants Progressive Forum (ODPF) has officially announced the 35th Ojoku Day celebrations, coinciding with the 15th coronation anniversary of His Royal Majesty Oba Abdul-Rasaq Adegboyega Afolabi Iyiolasemi III, the Olojoku of Ojoku Kingdom.
The highly anticipated event will take place from December 12 to 14, 2024, at the New Ojoku Townhall, Ojoku.
The Chief Host for the celebration is Alhaji Kehinde Muraino Adebayo, the National President of ODPF.
The programme promises to offer a blend of cultural, religious, and educational activities designed to unite and inspire attendees.
Highlights of the event include special prayers, the coronation and installation of new chiefs, and engaging health talks aimed at community welfare.
The celebrations will also feature an inter-school quiz competition and a Quranic quiz, providing an opportunity for students to showcase their knowledge. Sports enthusiasts can look forward to a football match and various youth competitions, while children will enjoy a dedicated funfair.
Additionally, the Ojoku Day Parade Funfair and various parties will bring a vibrant atmosphere to the three-day event.
Music lovers can anticipate performances by renowned artists Alhaji Besco Azeez, popularly known as Bessy Wonder, Alhaja Iyabo Baalu, and Alhaji Tiri Agbolagade Leather, ensuring an electrifying experience for all attendees.
The ODPF invites all descendants and well-wishers to join in celebrating the rich heritage, cultural pride, and accomplishments of Ojoku Kingdom during this landmark occasion.
