Cletus Obun, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has issued a stern warning to President Bola Tinubu to reconsider his approach to appointments.

During an appearance on Channels Television’s “Politics Today” on Friday, Obun expressed concern that party members who worked diligently to secure Tinubu’s presidency are not being properly recognized or rewarded. He cautioned that the current actions may lead to political consequences for the president.

“It’s a misguided strategy not to acknowledge your loyal allies,” Obun stated. “This will undoubtedly backfire. In a developing democracy like ours, failing to recognize loyalty is a serious misstep.”

He continued, “The frustrations we see are genuine.

The APC’s reward system has been inadequate; we witnessed this problem under Buhari, and now it seems to be repeating itself.

It’s unjust for someone to work tirelessly and receive little in return.

I urge Tinubu to take this matter seriously. He is being misled into thinking that those who supported him in 2023 won’t be valuable in 2027, which would be a grave political error.”
