The Edo State House of Assembly has approved Governor Monday Okpebholo’s request to appoint 20 Special Advisers.
Additionally, the Assembly received the nomination of Emmanuel Okoebor as Commissioner for Finance designate.
The governor’s request, which included the appointments of the Special Advisers and the confirmation of the Commissioner for Finance, was conveyed in a letter from the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Umar Ikhilor, to the Speaker of the House. Governor Okpebholo highlighted that these appointments are essential for the efficient functioning of his administration.
It is worth noting that the Assembly recently confirmed Samson Osagie and Dr. Cyril Oshiomhole as commissioners. Osagie now serves as the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, while Oshiomhole oversees the Health Ministry.
