Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has expressed his satisfaction with his role in President Bola Tinubu’s administration and the All Progressives Congress (APC) government.
Wike, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the sole opposition figure in Tinubu’s cabinet, made this statement on Saturday at the PDP Congress in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The former Governor of Rivers State emphasized that he is unapologetic about his position in the Tinubu administration, despite facing criticism for accepting the role.
“I am fully part of Tinubu’s government, and I have no regrets. Anyone upset about it can go and hug a transformer,” Wike stated.
His appointment as FCT Minister has generated debate, with many suggesting it was a reward for his support of Tinubu’s victory in Rivers State during the 2023 presidential election.
