The world’s oldest living person, Maria Branyas Morera, has passed away at the age of 117, her family announced on Tuesday. Born in the United States, Morera lived through two world wars and spent her later years in Spain.
“Maria Branyas has left us. She passed away as she wished: peacefully in her sleep, without pain,” her family shared on her social media account on X.
