Following a significant improvement in the security situation in Potiskum, Gashua, and Nguru, Yobe, Governor Mai Mala Buni has approved a five-hour reduction of the curfew imposed on these towns.

 

Retired Brigadier General Dahiru Abdulsalam, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, announced this in a statement issued in Damaturu.

 

The curfew is now relaxed from noon to 5 pm, effective Sunday, to allow residents to engage in lawful activities.

 

The governor commended security agencies for their efforts in restoring peace and urged them to remain vigilant to prevent any breakdown of law and order during the relaxed curfew hours.

 

He called on residents to cooperate with security personnel and report any suspicious activities, assuring the public of the government’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all citizens.
