The Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has provided updates on its ongoing farm project, reaffirming its dedication to equitable resource distribution and opportunities for vulnerable populations.
A recent visit to the foundation’s farmland revealed that tuber crops, such as cassava, are in their early germination stage, while maize and other crops have reached their second stage of growth.
Launched earlier this year, the farm project encompasses 50 hectares of land acquired by the MOK Foundation to benefit underprivileged communities. The initiative aims to enhance food security, improve livelihoods, and promote sustainable agricultural practices.
The MOK Foundation has committed to ensuring that the project’s benefits are distributed equitably among vulnerable groups, such as widows, orphans, people living with disabilities (PWDs) and low-income households
Mr. Lawal Saheed, the foundation’s Executive Director, emphasized the importance of inclusivity in the project’s implementation.
The foundation’s commitment to equitable distribution is reinforced through its partnerships with local community-based organizations, which assist in identifying and supporting vulnerable individuals and households.
