In a bid to promote menstrual hygiene education and empower women and girls, the Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation launches the “Period Friendly World Project” on International Menstrual Hygiene Day.
The programme is in collaboration with Ekiti-Kwara Youth Navigators
Scheduled for Friday, May 24, 2024, the project will commence at Community Secondary School, Etan, Ekiti LG, aiming to provide essential education and resources on menstrual hygiene management.
Highlighted programmes include: enlightenment session on care and maintenance of reusable pads, distribution of Free Happy Periods Pads and washing soaps, hygenie drive and training on making reusable sanitary pads, engaging games and so on.
Through practical training sessions and awareness campaigns, the foundation aims to break taboos surrounding menstruation and provide women and girls with the tools and knowledge they need for better menstrual health hygiene.
