A confrontation between groups at Ballah junction in Eyenkorin, Asa Local Government Area, Kwara State, has led to an unconfirmed number of fatalities.
According to eyewitness accounts, clashes began on Monday night and have persisted into Tuesday morning, resulting in casualties.
The exact number of deaths is yet to be determined.
Commissioner of Police Victor Olaiya has responded to the incident by deploying mobile policemen and tactical units to the scene to restore order.
He confirmed the presence of law enforcement on the ground, stating, “Mobile men and tactical teams have been deployed and are presently on ground.”
