On Wednesday morning in Yola, Adamawa State, amidst the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations marking the end of Ramadan, a man was apprehended for allegedly stealing a car.
The suspect, identified as Ibrahim Ali from Nguroje in Yola South LGA, admitted to stealing the vehicle from Jimeta, the central district of the state capital.
Adamawa State Police Command operatives captured Ali with the stolen vehicle, identified as a Toyota Starlet bearing a Jimeta (Yola North LGA) registration number JMT 317 RY.
According to a statement by SP Suleiman Nguroje, the state police public relations officer, the suspect was apprehended earlier in the day by police personnel from the Ngurore Divisional Police Headquarters during routine stop-and-search operations.
