In a somber turn of events, the revered traditional ruler of Isolo Kingdom, Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka, Adeola Olushi III, peacefully transitioned to the realm of ancestors. The monarch, aged 64, breathed his last in the early hours of yesterday, shortly after partaking in Eid prayers.
Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Olasoju Adebayo, conveyed the heartbreaking news in an official statement, extending Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s condolences to the community.
The statement released yesterday solemnly announced: “I have been tasked by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State to formally announce the passing of the esteemed paramount ruler of Isolo Kingdom, Oba Agbabiaka, Adeola Olushi III, on April 10, 2024. He was aged 64.”
In accordance with Islamic traditions, the monarch was laid to rest yesterday at his palace located at 3/5, Akinbaye Street , Isolo.
