As the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) issues a directive to all political parties in Osun to furnish the Commission details of their parties.
The statement which was signed by the Chairman on Tuesday asked every political party to file in the names of the Party’s National Chairman and National Secretary, State Chairman and State Secretary, as well as physical address and other needed information.
Speaking with out correspondent, the Chairman, Barr. Hashim Abioye said the he issued the directive so as to get accurate information from every registered political party in Osun.
He said, “The information that I gave out is basically to get information about all registered political parties in Osun as this will give the commission opportunity to know the physical offices of these parties and the leadership.
“This is just a normal routine that the commission must do. When it is time to interface with the stakeholders, we shall make it public and those concerned will be informed. Let me add that the IPac chairman, in playing hard politics, must have spoken for himself and not on behalf of all the political parties in the State, because as am speaking with you, some of the political parties that reasoned and read no meaning into the announcement have already submitted the requested details. Those details are what we are going to work with as we can not be embarking on voyage of discovery as to which political party exists in the State or not.”
“Like i said, under my watch, I am going to carry every stakeholder along in all our dealings. This is my promise.”
