UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital School of Post Basic Paediatric Nursing held its matriculation ceremony for the newly admitted students of the 2023/2024 academic year on December 20, 2023. The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Peter Babatunde Olaitan, presided over the event and extended a warm welcome to the students, urging them to uphold the institution’s values as exemplary ambassadors.
This marks the second cohort of students for the school, established a year ago after receiving accreditation from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. The school plays a crucial role in addressing the gaps in pediatric nursing care nationwide.
Notable attendees included Dr. O.A. Owolade (Director of Administration), Dr. Adeniyi Fasanu (Deputy Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, and Board Chairman of the school), Mr. Salawu (Hospital Auditor), Mrs. Olowu (Coordinator of the School), and several other dignitaries.
