The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde on Thursday presented a staff of office to the new King of Iseyin town, Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Adeyeri III, Ajirotutu I.
Iseyin is an ancient town which is home to over 200,000 residents. It is the headquarters of a local government council in Oyo State.
The presentation of the staff of office to the monarch came four months after Oba Sefiu was picked by the 10 kingmakers from the town.
The former king who died in 2022 was Oba Abdganiy Salawudeen Adekunle.
Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola-Adeyeri Ill was born on April 6, 1969, to the family of Prince Kareem Oladejo Oyebola and Princess Afusat Olabisi Oyebola of Eyinade Royal Compound of Akando, a royal lineage of Aseyin of Iseyinland.
