A socio-cultural group in Offa, Kwara state, named Offa Youths Forum (OYF) has kick-started its 20th anniversary.
This was disclosed by the OYF’s President, Ishaq Shittu Dayo, in a press statement on Monday, December 11, 2023.

Offa Youths Forum (OYF) proudly commemorates its two-decade milestone as a pivotal social and cultural association.
Established to unite and empower the vibrant youth of Offa, both within the homeland and across the Diaspora, OYF stands as a beacon for progress and unity.
From its inception, OYF has served as more than just a forum; it’s a vibrant community where the diverse threads of Offa’s youth are woven into a tapestry of unity and empowerment. With a dual mission to foster unity and provide essential information and opportunities for development, OYF has been instrumental in propelling Offa’s youth towards collective success and the progress of our father’s land.
OYF envisions a future where Offa’s youth stand united, leveraging their collective strength and potential for the progress of our father’s land,” “Our forum strives to be a driving force behind the holistic development of Offa’s youth, ensuring each member is informed, empowered, and actively contributing to our community’s growth and prosperity.
Key objectives of OYF include promoting unity and inclusivity among Offa’s youth and serving as a vital information hub, ensuring that the youth are well-informed about various opportunities essential for their growth. The forum complements the efforts of the Offa Descendants Union (ODU), focusing specifically on the unique needs and aspirations of Offa’s young generation.
Over the years, OYF has engaged in numerous activities, including educational seminars, cultural events, and community service initiatives. Notably, the “Keep Offa Clean” campaign, initiated by OYF in 2014, has become a significant part of the Annual Ijakadi Festival since 2016, showcasing the forum’s dedication to community service.
Additionally, OYF has been actively involved in welcoming and hosting the Olofa of Offa, Oba Muftau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II, during his visits to the Northern region, demonstrating the forum’s commitment to honoring and supporting Offa’s cultural heritage
The following individuals have played significant roles within OYF and ODU:
Comrade Isyaka Shittu Dayo, the present National President of OYF, is currently serving as the Assistant Financial Secretary of ODU Kaduna State Branch
Chief Musbau Olaniyi, who served as PRO (OSYF) 2004 in Kaduna and is currently the Aare Bobajiroro of Offa land, an active member of ODU.
Abdulafeez Faleye the National PRO of OYF serving as the Secretary III of ODU Kaduna State Branch.
Mr Abdullateef Agboola: A stakeholder of OYF Lagos State and presently an active member of ODU Lagos State Branch.
Mr Olayemi Nurudeen Afolabi: National Secretary of OYF Lagos State Branch, also serving as Secretary of ODU Lagos Branch.
Prince Omotayo Popoola: Secretary ODU Ikorodu Branch, also an Adviser of OYF Lagos Branch.
